Re: Airchecks/Demo
You just heard from a PD! Like I said...a PD listens first, if he likes what he hears he looks at the resume. What kind of experience you have, are you a ship jumper, or someone he might want to hang his hat on. When you make the short stack and he has time set aside he makes calls. He has a quicky ...

Show your creativity, your personality, how you have command of your voice, timing, realism, enthusiasm, etc. Pick the things you do best and what you want them to know about you in the most economical way! Some programmers first priority is the search for the "sound" that he or she has in mind. Cou...

Re: Will Radio Get Worse Before it Gets Better?
Fact is if radio was available like cable only then (maybe) people would pay for it. That is if you get the content variety and still access the local stations. They do if the agent only buys 5 deep.
Other than that stuff..nope!

Re: ***THE FREE FOR ALL***
I remember growing up in the suburbs of Detroit...late 70's. What was great then and what's missing now is Creativity! But, wait that's not our fault. Because... creativity got us into trouble from time to time, we were sterilized to minimize the threat to the all mighty dollar. We as an industry h...

Re: Bah Humbug...
Be careful to not take the "anti Christmas" tack. That will get you into trouble! Tha fact is the audience wants xmas music...they get to pick how much they get by turning you on and off. Why not give them what they want? Play xmas music in blocks...then go back to regular programming. So you delive...

Re: ***THE FREE FOR ALL***
Get over yourselves! It's new and it's evolution, deal with it...use it to your advantage and stop your bitching! That's what's wrong with the industry, in part, why waste time looking in the review mirror when clearly watching the road ahead is more important and requires more attention than ever! ...
