Halloween Songs

Ok everyone, here's the list of actual Halloween songs I've found over the years. Feel free to check em out. I've found them on soundtracks, album cuts, singles, b-sides, compilations all over the place. It's probably not everything, but I think it's a good start. I left out most of the "movie theme...

Re: song

what do you mean here? are you looking to try and find a song, or are you looking to index this song for your station? If it were me, I'd find the song however I could, CD, LP, iTunes, cassette, 8-track (if it's seriously the only format that song was on....) whatever. I'd then check if the song was...

Re: College MD looking for more ways to get music

Try getting a subscription to Promo Only & or Nu Music Traxx (promoonly.com, and ergmusic.com) Both are professional DJ services providing radio friendly songs in multiple formats to Pro DJs and radio stations worldwide. Both are monthly I believe and come in either digital downloads or CDs. You mus...

Re: any other korn fans?

Saw them twice in my life Woodstock 99 (although the entire concert was AMAZING, Korn did play a nice long set which I really thought was awesome) and once during a concert in 2005 with 10 Years and Mudvayne supporting. It's a great show, you won't be disappointed. Their fans are awesome and they do...

I listened to a local rock station this week, and I also listened to Music Choice Rock station this week. But the youth aren't listening.

Re: MD/PD seeking Music Service for Older Songs (60's-00's)

I have to agree with Vinny, as a former MD for 5 years for a local station I have had a devil of a time getting older songs from labels and since the station was and probably still is flat broke. I can tell you to get the songs anyway you can, via a service, iTunes if you have to, or have the commun...

Re: This just in: LOCAL RADIO DEAD!!!

Stew I agree. you are right, and I've been saying this since I was in college in 2002 - 2006. Hell even High school. It gets worse though, when someone smarter than the guy running the "smoke and mirrors" game like you so adequately put it comes in to help out, they not only shoo the guy out but the...

Re: No Experience = No Job, but No Job=No Experience

I worked for free for basically 10 years, 2 college radio stations MD for one, DJ for both one show was voted among my classmates as the best show on campus, 2 simultaneous internships with local stations in my area (rare among my classmates) one of which turned into a job in 2008 for 6 months (the ...

Re: No Experience = No Job, but No Job=No Experience

Ahh probably the most frustrating things about working in the broadcasting industry. Another tip I can say to do is to work at a local "LP-FM" even if it's for free. Build up a resume and send that as well to employers, sometimes it takes a job to get a job. But don't forget to talk with stations in...
