New acts

It seems like there are a lot of newer acts out this summer, a lot of acts who have had one song or so trying to make it to that next level. Who do you think will be big by next year? I would really love to see Sunny Sweeney make that jump. Also- Hunter Hayes will be really interesting to watch. If they can get the little girls into it, I think they could really have something with him!

I agree! I am really digging Hunter Hayes and his song "Storm Warning." He kind of has a Rascal Flatts feel to his voice and I think a lot of people are gonna catch on to this song!

I really like Craig Campbell's new one...funny stuff. I am not sure how well it will do overall with traditional Country radio but I could see him being big on Young Country stations!

I am all about Ashton Shepherd. Mannn there is nothing like some solid female SOUTHERN country! I can't wait for her new album next week. I see big things ahead for this girl

I love Ashton. I've been waiting for her to really break out since "Sounds So Good." I thought that song was good, and she had a few follow ups that I liked that never got a lot of play.

Sunny is another that I love, another Southern country female. I'm hoping and praying that the people that break out are COUNTRY artists and not pop kids who are doing country because it's "cool." Anyone who sounds like Rascal Flatts would be in that group...

I am really digging the Sonia Leigh project right now too. It's different but I think it's good different. It will be really interesting to see what Country stations do with it and what listeners think!

I really like Christian Kane's song "Let Me Go." I don't know if he is necessarily new after being a television stud, but that song tells such a great story and is so easily relate-able!

Good acts mentioned but I am wondering if any of them will actually stick around...I could see Hunter having a great following if they can get him launched. And maybe the Craig Campbell but unfortunately it's sad to see how many Country artists don't make it.

Ever since I heard the Josh Abbott Band's "Oh Tonight" I have not been able to get it out of my head. I think its starting to get some momentum on the charts so I'm hoping this is an act that will stick around for a while. As a former Texan, I'm pumped!
